s a beekeeper, I am always conscious of the work my honeybees undertake to pollinate crops, but they are not the only ones. In the UK there are around 1,500 other pollinators, some do far more than others but all of them play an essential part in shaping our countryside, ecosystems and agriculture.
This design is a celebration of just a few of these amazing insects and follows their year from Spring to late Autumn. With just a nod to 17th Century fabric, we find beautiful butterflies, busy bees and delicate moths working their way around the borders of this ephemeral, silk chiffon scarf.
It’s generous dimensions of 62cm x 178cm mean that it’s ideal worn as a shawl with summer outfits or scrunched to add impact to everyday wear.
