his sumptuous design is inspired by Persian architecture and the magnificent peacock feather. I was lucky enough to have once owned a peacock and I tried so many time to paint his feathers but failed. It seemed almost impossible to capture the metallic and jewel like qualities they possess. The advantage of the digital process however, is that it allows a designer to use metallic images to better replicate their subtleties.

Printing on 12mm silk satin, give the finished design and its tarnished, turquoise, background a beautiful depth of colour and lustre, together with an excellent soft drape.
Its generous dimensions of 60cm x 188cm and light weight means that it can be worn either, as an elegant evening shawl or scrunched to bring a splash of colour to an everyday outfit. It is beautifully finished with a hand rolled hem.
